The name of the brand. Aaron Boothe a Mancunian through and through with 10 years of experience in manufacturing pro audio speakers systems and 14 years as a professional sound engineer.
His story began in his early youth days. Many of his family members we DJ’s and had sound systems exposing Aaron to equipment he was more excited about than toys (so his mother states). By the age of 14, Aaron was DJ’ing needing taxis to get himself and his gear to gigs because he was too young to drive, even designing his own sound systems and building boxes in his mothers living room. The passion for this field was already in his blood.
Such early exposure to head-lining performers and DJs, for whom the reputation of having a great sound was paramount, gave the young Aaron an insight to what speaker systems needed to deliver for top artists. A rich love of music from his Jamaican family background was ignited into a passion for learning how to make sound systems that could meet such high demands. With the courage and independent thinking typical of all innovators, Aaron realised the need to move far beyond his culture’s traditions in speaker-building to master what was required to develop speaker systems for the professional audio markets.
Aaron’s first years at some Manchester based companies from 2002 such as Concert Systems, Wigwam Acoustics, Rockys, dbn Audile and MCL, plus in-house engineering at Manchester Academy, gave him a complete grounding in the real-world requirements of top level audio. As he progressed to Mix and System Engineer, working with UK & international bands on concerts, festivals, theatres, and in the corporate sector, he learned what it was like to be at the helm of a sound ship, navigating the challenges in all the main audio markets. Then, working for many years in TV as Sound Engineer for the BBC’s at Media City for broadcast production company FAC365. This end-to-end experience taught him what great sound is; the sonic qualities demanded in pro audio; the practicalities that sound systems must address to be viable; what delivers great sound at big & small indoor and outdoor events, and why. This knowledge he used in the development work of all his speaker system designs.
En route to this level of standing in the pro audio business, Aaron has had such artist like Ms Dynamite, Olly Murs, Gabrielle, Billy Ocean, Jocelyn Brown, Earth Wind & Fire, Alexandra Burke, Tinie Tempah, M-People’s Heather Small, Myleene Klass and many other international stars trust him as their sound man. He learned from, and won the respect of some top UK engineers such as Pablo Knight, Simon Thomas, Nick Warren and Paul Stevart, trusted to cover their jobs.
Today, Aaron is Director & Systems Designer of his own manufacturing company, AARON B, (previously Precise Audio) developing live, installation and portable systems. These already have strong followers in the industry. E.g. Top audio companies like dbnAudile using Aaron’s systems in over 30 festivals over the last two years; rehearsal studios such as London’s Bush Studios using his products. Off his own back with also over 16 + venues, Houses of Worship, night clubs, bars and restaurants using Aaron’s products ranges.
Such deep and wide experience at the highest levels of audio not only gave Aaron the knowledge required to master his subject, but to also add to that body of knowledge, designing products customers love which deliver his own tonal taste.
